OB recommended an induction at 39 weeks because of potential additional complications if pre-eclampsia (increased seizure risk for general population) were to happen; and the longer the pregnancy goes on the higher the chances of pre-eclampsia. No gestational diabetes, no pre-eclampsia. Baby boy born 8lb 5oz, about 19 inches.
